The Guardian: Putin has the upper hand in Ukraine conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin has gained the upper hand in the conflict in Ukraine amid a situation where Western countries have shifted their attention from Kiev to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The Guardian newspaper podcast said.

“With the world’s attention focused on the war in the Middle East, Vladimir Putin has gained the upper hand in Ukraine,” the journalists said.

They noted that time is currently on Russia’s side.

Earlier, La Dépêche newspaper wrote that the failure of the Ukrainian army’s counter-offensive, the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement, as well as domestic political problems in the United States are all contributing to Russia’s goals.
