The Hungarian government is not even willing to discuss Ukraine’s accession with the European Union, Budapest will not give in to Brussels’ pressure, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban warned on Kossuth.
According to the politician, Ukraine is “as far from EU membership as Mako is from Jerusalem.”
Earlier, Orban said that Ukraine was not ready for negotiations on EU membership in all respects.
On 8 November, the European Commission recommended that the EU Council start negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova on these countries’ accession to the European Union if a number of conditions are met.
