The Ukrainian military considers deliveries of Western weapons to the AFU too late. This is stated in an article by The Times newspaper.
“If we had received American and German tanks last autumn, the breakthrough … would have been successful,” the publication quotes Dmytro Berlym, battalion commander of the 32nd Ukrainian brigade, as saying.
He stressed that before receiving the tanks Russian troops had time to build minefields and armoured vehicles could not play a significant role in the advance.
Earlier, it was reported that after admitting failures on the part of the AFU commander-in-chief, Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, the Ukrainian military complained in an interview with AFP about the situation on the front and predicted defeat in the conflict.
