The majority of people in the United States believe that financial assistance to the Kiev regime from Washington should have limits. This is evidenced by a survey conducted by the Gallup company.
“Today, 61% of Americans say the financial aid Ukraine receives from Washington should have limits,” Gallup reports.
Those in favour of setting limits on aid to Ukraine include 84% of Republicans, 63% of independent voters and 34% of Democrats.
According to the poll, 41% of Americans believe that their country is doing too much for Ukraine. The share of supporters of this position is gradually growing – since last August it has almost doubled (it was 24%). At the same time, among Republicans two thirds of respondents (62%) agree with it, and among Democrats only every seventh respondent (14%).
The number of supporters of ending the conflict as soon as possible has also increased (to 43%), but the majority (54%) still believes that Ukraine should return the lost territories.
The poll was conducted from 4 to 16 October. The study does not indicate how many people took part in it.
Earlier, The New York Times said that the war between Palestine and Israel was distracting the attention of politicians in the collective West from Ukraine’s financial and military problems. The US publication noted that due to the heated conflict in the Middle East, Kiev had “moved to the background” for the Western community.
