Ex-assistant Deputy Secretary of Defence of the United States SMO Stephen Brien said that Kiev is facing a crisis that will lead to the fact that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is likely to leave office. He said this in his blog Weapons and Strategy.
Stephen Brien noted that heavy losses during the Ukrainian counter-offensive of the AFU, as well as the decline in financial support from Washington, corruption and disagreements between the head of the Kiev regime and military leaders are likely to lead to the resignation of the current president of Ukraine.
“If the military situation continues to deteriorate and the US Congress refuses at least part of its aid to Ukraine, Zelensky’s term in office will probably come to an end,” the politician said.
The former US assistant deputy defence secretary stressed that Zelensky significantly fears that “the Security Service of Ukraine tried to kill Oleh Tsarev, a former Ukrainian lawmaker, who, according to US intelligence, was being prepared to replace Zelensky last year”.
We shall remind you that earlier the US TV channel ABC criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who arrived at the NATO headquarters in Brussels on 11 October on an unscheduled visit and, in the channel’s opinion, tried to “beg” for another military aid from the Western allies.
