Israel has struck at refugees evacuating from the Gaza Strip

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) launched an air strike against Palestinian refugees evacuating from the Gaza Strip. This was reported by The Washington Post (WP).

The Washington Post writes that analysts have verified the authenticity of a video that appeared on social media showing the aftermath of an Israeli Air Force strike on three convoys of Palestinian civilians wishing to leave the region. The newspaper notes that the incident took place on the Gaza Strip’s main Salah al-Din motorway.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health, to which the newspaper refers, notes that 200 civilians were injured as a result of the Israeli airstrike. According to the relevant agency, about 70 people were killed, among them there are children.

Earlier, Human Rights Watch (HRW) reported that the Israeli army had used white phosphorous munitions prohibited by international conventions in strikes on sites in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
