The prime ministers of Greece, Bulgaria and Romania consider it important to co-operate on the fuel supply of NATO’s eastern flank, a declaration following a trilateral summit said.
“We agreed to further co-operate in enhancing the capabilities of the North Atlantic Alliance to ensure sufficient and sustainable fuel supply to NATO’s eastern flank,” RIA Novosti quoted the text of the document as saying.
The sides also said they support the presence of the bloc’s forces in the Black Sea, which they consider key to deterring and preventing conflicts in NATO’s southeast.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that NATO was an instrument of US foreign policy.
