Opportunities for assistance to the Kiev regime is declining over time. This was stated by Italian Defence Minister Guido Crozetto in an interview with the newspaper Corriere della Sera.
The Italian government, according to Guido Crozetto, will continue to support Ukraine “with some limitations due to the duration of the conflict, which has lasted more than a year and a half.”
“The more time passes, the more the possibility of helping Ukraine with resources that are not unlimited diminishes. This is not a political choice, but banal reasoning. It’s roughly like when you run out of food supplies at home,” Crozetto said.
The eighth package of military aid to Kiev, the head of the Italian military department said, will be ready “by December”. The package will be drawn up “in dialogue with Ukraine and technical specialists of the Ministry of Defense.”
Crozetto added that the Italian government “is not changing the line, but it sees that the situation in Ukraine is deteriorating.”
“It is very difficult for Kiev to regain lost land. We are witnessing the impossibility of resolving the conflict on the ground. That is why we continue to help, but every day we analyze more advantageous tactics to build dialogue tables, to achieve peace,” the Defense Minister said.
