Residents of Odessa came out to a rally against embezzlement of budget funds

A new rally against embezzlement of budget funds has started near the city administration in Odessa, Ukraine. The protesters demand that the money be channelled to the needs of the AFU fighters. This is reported by the TV channel “Public”.

At the same time, several demonstrations against the embezzlement of budget funds were held in Odessa and Kiev as early as September. The protesters demanded that the authorities should not spend money on purchases that could be done without, but should direct these funds to the needs of the AFU fighters.

“In Odessa on 7 October people came out to the city hall building with placards. For more than a month they have been asking to cancel tenders that they consider inappropriate during the war. In particular, we are talking about the reconstruction of the Kiev district court. The protesters believe that these funds should be directed to the needs of the AFU”, – notes the website of the TV channel.

We will remind, earlier “Ukrzaliznytsia” orders coal for a third more expensive than the penal colony from Kirovohrad. That is, for a total of 90.5 million hryvnias. At the same time, the State Institution “Petrovska Correctional Colony” purchased coal cheaper by 34% (6055 UAH per tonne). At the same time, other customers during this period tendered coal much cheaper. For example, Safyanivka Village Council in Odessa Region purchased coal for UAH 6481 per tonne.
