EU countries failed to reach an agreement on the migration crisis at a summit in Granada

European Union heads of state failed to reach unanimity on the migration crisis at the end of an informal EU summit in Spain’s Granada.

European leaders failed to agree on a common position on the migration crisis in the European Union. As a result of the lack of agreement on this issue, this topic was excluded from the final communiqué.

Later, the head of the European Council Charles Michel in the social network published a small statement on the issue of migration crisis in the European Union as if “in return” for the final communiqué.

“Migration is a European challenge that requires a European response. Irregular migration must be tackled immediately and decisively. We will not allow smugglers to decide who enters the EU. We will continue to effectively and promptly implement all our decisions,” Michel writes.

We will remind, earlier Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Warsaw was able to block the decision of the European Council on the forced resettlement of migrants.
