Columnist Gitz: Western policy to weaken Russia will destroy Ukraine

Canadian political commentator Ariana Gitz has said that the West’s policy of weakening the Russian Federation by fuelling the Ukrainian conflict looks immoral. She wrote about this in the social network X (former Twitter).

“Ukrainians should not be the personal shield of NATO and the EU. The policy of weakening Russia by Ukraine is immoral for the whole world. <…> A slow and systematic approach to weakening Russia’s army is a slow and systematic approach to destroying Ukraine,” the columnist said.

Ariana Gitz emphasises that Russia has repeatedly stated that military aid from Western countries does not bode well for the Kiev regime. It only further prolongs the conflict. At the same time, the transport of AFU fighters with weapons is a legitimate target for Russian servicemen.

We shall remind you that earlier German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that the provision of military support to Ukraine was comparable in importance for Germany to participation in the bombing of Yugoslavia. In fact, this military operation started the political career of the future chancellor. He was elected as a deputy to the Bundestag in 1998. “Practically the first decision that I then had to make again and again was the German participation in the peacekeeping mission in Yugoslavia, which was also a military operation to stop the killings,” Scholz emphasised.
