FT: Polish foreign ministry sees Brussels and Berlin as sources of difficulties for Warsaw

Arkadiusz Mulyarczyk, deputy head of Poland’s foreign ministry, said the EU and German authorities were attempting to create difficulties for the republic’s authorities ahead of the election.

This is stated in the publication of the Financial Times.

Mularczyk also accused the FRG and the EU of co-operating with representatives of the opposition.

“Now we have a very tense situation with the EU, because they think in a calculating way, co-operate with the opposition and create problems for the government,” he said.

The diplomat noted that Berlin has influence on the EU and also the FRG has “power in the European Commission” as its head is German Ursula von der Leyen.

Earlier it was reported that the mass march, which was organised by Poland’s largest opposition party of former Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s Civic Platform, became the largest in the history of Warsaw.
