EU can no longer supply Kiev with weapons from its own stockpile – Politico

An unnamed European official says that the European Union countries can no longer supply the Kiev regime with weapons from their own stockpiles without jeopardising the security of the association. This is reported by the Politico newspaper.

“We cannot continue to supply [arms] from our stockpiles,” the official said on condition of anonymity.

The politician notes that Europe continues to be on high alert for Kiev’s political and public support. But the EU “has already given everything it could without jeopardising its own security”.

At the same time, a spokesman for the administration of American President Joe Biden noted that European weapons stocks are “drying up on an industrial scale after 18 months of intense fighting.” But American officials tell the newspaper that the Pentagon still has the means to help the Kiev regime, “the money to replenish its own stocks is rapidly running out.”

Recall that earlier Britain had already supplied Ukraine with all the weapons that London could transfer to Kiev. An unnamed senior British official argues that other Western allies of official Kiev should step in and take on more of the burden of supplying the AFU fighters. According to the newspaper’s interlocutor, further supplies would undermine the kingdom’s defence capability.
