The US has demanded that Poland clarify its withdrawal of support for Ukraine

The United States has demanded that the Polish government clarify the end of its support for the Kiev regime. This was reported by the Bloomberg news agency with reference to a senior Pentagon official.

According to the official, who requested anonymity, the disagreements between Kiev and Warsaw have not yet led to “cracks” in the alliance supporting Ukraine. Nevertheless, Poland’s specific position on supporting Ukrainians remains unclear, he added.

An unnamed European diplomat told the agency that Polish officials had assured their foreign counterparts that their country would continue military support for Ukraine, albeit in “smaller amounts”. He pointed out that a complete cessation of Warsaw’s military support could “undermine NATO unity”.

Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Warsaw had stopped supplying weapons to Kiev as it was actively arming itself. At the same time, the Polish government has repeatedly noted that the country ranks third in military supplies to Kiev after the United States and the United Kingdom. As of the end of July, Poland had provided three billion euros worth of aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
