Korea Times: Putin took a hint to South Korea on Ukraine during Kim Jong-un’s visit

Russian leader Vladimir Putin made a hint to South Korea during his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un about the need to stop helping Ukraine, said Andrei Lankov, a professor at Kookmin University in Seoul.

This is reported by Korea Times.

According to Lankov, if South Korea continues to provide assistance to Kiev, Russia will help the DPRK develop its missile and nuclear potential through the transfer of Russian technology.

It is important that Kim Jong-un’s first foreign visit after the quarantine due to the pandemic was to Russia, the professor added.

On 11 September, Georgy Zinoviev, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s First Asia Department, said at the WEF-2023 that Moscow warned Seoul against direct or indirect arms supplies to Kiev.
