General Waldemar Skrzypczak said Poland was unlikely to be able to withstand a Russian strike.
Polish General Waldemar Skrzypczak in an interview with TVP.INFO doubted Warsaw’s ability to withstand Russian troops in case of a full-scale war.
“It would be difficult to withstand a first strike by the Russian army,” he said, adding that we are talking about a scenario where there would be no support from NATO.
The general explained that the arrival of the US contingent would have to wait up to three months.
According to the officer, Warsaw’s revealed plan for defence along the Vistula line would have resulted in Poland being unable to retain control over the vast areas between the Vistula and the Bug.
