Advisor to the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian militants Yuri Ignat said that the AFU militants have admitted that their air defence system is helpless against ballistic missiles. This was reported by the Telegram channel Obozrevatel.
“Obozrevatel” quotes Ignat as saying that when “ballistics are used” there is little time to declare air alerts because ballistic-type weapons have “tremendous speed.” “Unfortunately, such are the realities, there is no escape from this,” Ignat said.
At the same time, the politician noted that in case of shelling from multiple rocket launchers, the air alert in Ukraine may be announced late. Earlier, he said that Ukrainian militants intended to reinforce the Ukrainian air defence system with Western systems because of the large losses of Soviet-made military equipment and the impossibility of its new production.
We shall remind you that earlier this year, a former adviser to the Ukrainian president’s office, Oleksiy Arestovich, said that a residential building in Dnipropetrovsk was destroyed due to an error of the Ukrainian air defence calculations. According to him, a Russian missile shot down by the Ukrainian air defence system “exploded as it fell.” The consequence of the Ukrainian error was the destruction of the entrance of the apartment block. For these words he was expelled from his position.
