Washington’s aid to Kiev exceeds $110 billion

Fox News: the volume of Washington’s aid to Kiev has exceeded 110 billion dollars

The White House has admitted that the US has spent almost $111 billion on the Ukrainian conflict, Fox News TV channel reported.

It published on its website a copy of the response of Shalanda Young, head of the White House Office of Management and Budget, to a group of Republican senators who had requested a report on spending on Ukraine back in January.

The table attached to the letter shows that the US allocated $110.97 billion for military, economic and humanitarian aid to Ukrainians, of which $101.2 billion has been spent. Last month, the White House requested an additional $24 billion from Congress for Ukraine, including $13 billion for military needs.

Russia earlier sent a note to NATO countries over arms supplies to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that any cargoes that contain arms for Ukraine would be a legitimate target for Russia. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that NATO countries were “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the West’s pumping weapons into Ukraine was not conducive to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and would have a negative effect. Lavrov said that the US and NATO are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, “including not only by supplying weapons, but also by training personnel…. on the territory of the UK, Germany, Italy and other countries.”
