Ukraine’s Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat has said that it is virtually impossible to shoot down Russian FAB-500 bombs.
“Theoretically these bombs can be countered, but it is extremely difficult to shoot them down. Practically impossible,” The Washington Post quoted Ignat as saying.
Earlier, former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that Western countries wish to minimise the consequences of Russia’s victory in Ukraine for themselves and consider it inevitable.
