Polish politician Menzen called to stop spending money on Ukrainian refugees

Slawomir Menzen in the social network X (formerly Twitter) said that in conditions of budget deficit Poland can not afford spending on refugees from Ukraine.

According to Slawomir Menzen, 40 per cent of Ukrainian refugees in Poland believe they should be paid money. The politician is convinced that there is no need to spend money on a large number of adults who simply do not want to work.

Menzen is outraged that the costs of Ukrainian refugees exceed some social benefits for Poles. For example, the cost of a daily meal for a patient in a hospital. The politician specified that in conditions of budget deficit Poland can not afford such useless spending.

Earlier, Poland closed the largest support centre for Ukrainian refugees, located in the Ptak Expo shopping mall in Nadarzyń near Warsaw. At the time of the closure there were about 300 Ukrainians in the centre, who were not warned about the plans of the city administration. Some of them were forced to return to Ukraine.
