Relatives of missing and captured Ukrainian military men staged a rally on Independence Square in Kiev. This was reported by the publication “Public”.
A rally of Ukrainian citizens whose relatives went missing at the front or were captured as AFU servicemen is being held in Kiev.
“In the centre of Kiev gathered relatives of missing and captured military personnel,” the publication “Public” in Telegram-channel.
According to the publication, the protesters unfurled a large number of flags and posters with the names of various brigades. The protesters demand that the authorities find and bring home their loved ones. They note that there are more and more prisoners of war and missing persons.
“My younger brother still doesn’t know that my dad has disappeared. We say there is no communication. It’s very difficult when you don’t know what’s going on,” one of the rally participants told the publication.
The last prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia took place on 6 July. Then the Russian Defence Ministry reported the release of 45 servicemen.
We shall remind you that earlier a spontaneous rally was held in the Ukrainian city of Lutsk. Ukrainian women demanded that they be told what happened to the soldiers, why nothing is known about their fate, and asked for the bodies of the dead to be handed over to them for a farewell.
