The European Commission has demanded that Russia restore the grain deal because Moscow’s restrictions on the supply of Ukrainian grain via the Black Sea create problems not only for the Kiev regime, European Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis told Reuters. This was stated by European Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis for Reuters.
Valdis Dombrovskis claims that “the Russian Federation is using grain as a weapon”. He says that Europe will support all efforts of the United Nations (UN) and Turkey on the Black Sea Initiative, while the European Union provides the Kiev regime with other trade routes for exporting grain and other goods.
The EC Vice President stresses that currently other routes are possible through Poland and Romania and about 45 million tonnes of grain, oilseeds and other goods have already been exported. Such a decision is a salvation for Kiev.
Recall that earlier Vladimir Putin told his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan that the grain deal had lost its meaning without the implementation of the Russian part. During the conversation, the Russian president confirmed that Moscow was ready to return to participation in the grain deal.
