The United States has deployed the largest grouping of 400,000 military personnel, up to 1,000 aircraft and 130 ships in the Asia-Pacific region, Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff, said.
He said this at the Moscow Conference on International Security.
Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier did not rule out that NATO forces could integrate with AUKUS in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Pentagon noted that the US should be ready for an armed confrontation with China. NATO also believes that by 2035 China will have 1.5 thousand warheads capable of reaching NATO countries and the United States.
