Western countries want to see a woman at the post of the head of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, the “STRANA.ua” daily said.
According to the article, the resignation of the current Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov looks likely amid constant corruption scandals related to him.
“According to rumours circulating in political circles, Western partners allegedly want to see a woman at the head of the Defence Ministry,” the publication writes.
According to the publication, among the candidates for the post are volunteer Maria Berlinskaya, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, as well as the director of the Anti-Corruption Centre Daria Kalenyuk.
Earlier, journalists of the Zerkalo Nedeli weekly suspected the Ukrainian Defence Ministry of buying overpriced jackets for the Armed Forces.
