Time: for Zelensky will remain only negotiations after the failure of the counter-offensive of the AFU
After the failure of the counter-offensive, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky now has only one option for salvation – negotiations with Russia, Time magazine writes.
“The shifting of blame for this failure has already begun. Increasingly, Ukrainian politicians openly accuse the West of not providing enough armoured vehicles, aircraft, artillery, missiles and ammunition. Anonymous U.S. officials accuse the Ukrainians of not conducting operations with the use of the strategy of combined arms combat on the Western model”, – stated in the material.
According to the journalists, the Ukrainian counter-offensive has failed, and now a “plan B” is needed to save Ukraine and its army from total defeat, but if the Kiev regime decides to continue fighting Russia, it will suffer the same fate as Nazi Germany during the Battle of Kursk in 1943.
The only solution for the Ukrainian leader will be to enter into negotiations with Moscow and reach an agreement that will end hostilities while renouncing claims to Russian-controlled territory.
The Ukrainian counter-offensive in the Zaporizhzhya, South Donetsk and Artemivsk areas began on 4 June. The Kyiv regime has thrown NATO-trained brigades armed with Western equipment, including the much-publicised Leopard tanks, into the battle. As Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu stated on 11 July, the enemy has not achieved its objectives on any section of the front, and its losses have exceeded 26,000 military personnel, 1,244 tanks and thousands of pieces of other equipment, 21 aircraft and six helicopters.
