Kiev may face a reduction in financial and military aid from Western allies if the counter-offensive fails.
This is stated in an article by the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita.
According to the newspaper, before the offensive, the Kiev leadership was well aware that the West expected “quick decisive victories” from the AFU in response to the investment.
However, the article says, the Ukrainian counter-offensive today does not meet the expectations of Western military commanders and political leaders.
“Neither patience nor military hardware are infinite resources,” the paper noted.
Earlier, US businessman and investor David Sachs said about the change of attitude in the West towards the AFU amid their failures.
Also, according to Wall Street Journal observers, the West knew that Kiev would not have enough weapons for an offensive and believed in the resourcefulness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
