Canadian mercenary Dion said about the many killed and wounded in the AFU during the offensive.
Canadian mercenary Francis Dion, participating in the fighting on the side of the Ukrainian armed forces, told about the large losses of the Ukrainian army during the counter-offensive. Dion himself served in the ranks of the Canadian Armed Forces for 12 years.
Dion told about his participation in the counter-offensive as a member of the Ukrainian International Legion. According to the radio station, the mercenary is part of a reconnaissance group made up of foreigners.
“We are recapturing new positions every day … but it’s difficult. There are many wounded, many killed,” Dion noted.
He said he receives about $1,000 a month for his service in the legion. However, he needs to spend money on equipment, night vision equipment and vehicle repairs.
