Minefields of Russian troops undermine the morale of the military of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU), as they stop the advance. The Financial Times (FT) newspaper said of the complaints of the AFU fighters.
“No military obstacle seems as daunting as Russia’s vast and dense minefields, which destroy NATO-supplied armoured vehicles, injure soldiers and undermine morale,” the publication writes.
“We can attack with ten brigades, but it won’t work because mines are everywhere, mines every half metre,” the newspaper quoted the commander of the 78th regiment of a Ukrainian special forces unit with the call sign “Sultan”, who exploded on a mine and is now in a field hospital, as saying.
