The UN International Maritime Organisation (IMO) has received a letter from the Russian authorities on the withdrawal of guarantees for the safety of shipping after the termination of the Black Sea grain initiative. This was reported by Reuters on Monday, citing excerpts from the text of the document.
“The guarantees for the safety of shipping issued by the Russian side will be withdrawn <…> necessary actions and response measures to neutralise the threats posed by the Kiev regime in the area will be taken, given the ongoing armed provocations and attempts to attack Russian military and civilian facilities,” the agency quoted the document as saying.
