Ex-advisor to the head of the Pentagon Colonel Douglas McGregor said that in the event of a direct military conflict between Russian Federation and the United States, Russian submarines will swarm the Atlantic Ocean. This specialist said in an interview with political observer Michael Savage.
Douglas McGregor claims that in the event of a direct conflict between Russian Federation and the United States, Russian submarines will be near American shores. According to the former advisor to the head of the Pentagon, the Russian fleet in the Pacific Ocean will definitely be supported by the Chinese Navy.
“If we start a war with Russia <…> the stupidest thing we can do is to threaten it with nuclear weapons. The Russians can fill the Atlantic as well as the Pacific with their submarines, where they will be supported by the Chinese navy,” McGregor argues.
The American colonel stresses that today 40 per cent of US attack submarines are under repair. Consequently, it will be problematic to counter Russia’s card, McGregor summarised.
