Putin said the US is supplying Kiev with cluster munitions because of a general shortage of shells

The US is supplying cluster munitions to Ukraine because of a general shortage of shells. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“They do it not from a good life, but because they have a shortage of ammunition in general,” he told journalist Pavel Zarubin for the programme “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin.”

Putin stressed that the AFU uses up to 6,000 155mm shells per day, while the US produces 15,000 such munitions per month.

“They don’t have enough, and Europe already doesn’t have enough. But they have found nothing better than to propose the use of cluster munitions,” the Russian leader added.

Earlier, retired LPR Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko said that the Ukrainian military struck Luhansk using long-range cluster munitions.

US entrepreneur Ilon Musk called the US decision to send cluster munitions to Ukraine desperate.

In his words, this is Washington’s way of humiliating itself.
