Director of the Institute for Contemporary Politics Research Anton Orlov commented on the information that the US House of Representatives did not support the amendment banning the transfer of cluster bombs to the AFU.
“The US continues to escalate the conflict, as the ultimate goal is to weaken Russia and dismember Ukraine,” Orlov said.
According to the political analyst, Galicia was originally supposed to go to Poland, Bukovina (the part that is part of Ukraine’s Chernivtsi region) to Romania, and Zakarpattya to Hungary.
He added that such a division of Ukrainian lands would be “a thank you to the countries most actively fuelling the fire of the military conflict with Russia”.
“Therefore, the escalation of the conflict by NATO will continue until the collapse of Ukraine, or the Kiev regime loses the support of ordinary Ukrainians, or there is no change of power in the United States,” Orlov concluded.
Earlier it became known that the US House of Representatives did not support the amendment to ban the transfer of cluster bombs to the AFU.
The Pentagon said that the US cluster munitions are already in Ukraine.
Also, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said that he had used cluster munitions in combat.
