Media: AFU military complains of shortage of armoured vehicles and ammunition

WSJ: AFU servicemen complain of shortage of equipment for attacking Russian positions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have complained about a shortage of armoured vehicles and ammunition. This was reported by the US newspaper Wall Street Journal.

“Kiev is trying to weaken the Russian defenses before entering troops, but it does not have enough ammunition to simply flatten villages under Russian control,” the newspaper quoted a motorized rifle unit commander with the call sign “Vados” as saying.

According to the newspaper, the AFU military believes that the shortage of armoured vehicles is slowing down the counterattack and the Ukrainian army might lose dozens of men on the southern front.

As a serviceman noted, in order to occupy and consolidate positions lined up by the Russian Armed Forces, the Ukrainian military needs to first shell them and then advance using armoured vehicles, but this is difficult to implement amid the lack of tanks and armoured vehicles.
