Sending cluster munitions to Ukraine will be a PR nightmare for US President Joe Biden.
This opinion was expressed by retired US intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
“We’re talking about shells from 1987. In 1997, I was in a field artillery unit and we used them a lot during exercises,” he was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
Ritter expressed concern that the number of unexploded shells in Ukraine would increase after the supply of ammunition.
Earlier, French politician and former MEP Florian Filippo wrote on his social networks that France was shamefully silent about the US supply of cluster munitions to the Ukrainian authorities.
