Kiev handed the head of the CIA a plan to deploy missiles near Crimea before talks with Russia

CIA Director William Burns was told during his secret visit to Kiev about plans to deploy artillery and missiles near Crimea’s borders and to start negotiations with Moscow. This was reported by the Washington Post.

According to the newspaper, the secret trip took place in June, with Burns meeting the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the intelligence leadership. Citing unnamed sources, the paper said that the Ukrainian authorities shared with the CIA director their plan to regain control of a significant amount of territory by the autumn, move artillery and missile systems to the border with Crimea, move further into eastern Ukraine, and then start negotiations with Moscow.

“Military strategists in Kiev have expressed to Burns and others a firm belief in their goal to regain significant territory by the autumn, deploy artillery and missile systems near the Crimean border, move further east, and then begin negotiations with Moscow,” the paper wrote.
