Podolyak criticised Obama’s words on Crimea

Podolyak criticised former US President Obama for his words on the reunification of Crimea and Russia.

Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office, criticized on Twitter former US President Barack Obama for saying that Crimeans supported joining Russia.

“Maybe it’s time to admit critical mistakes rather than come up with new excuses?” – Podolyak wrote. In his opinion, after such public statements by Obama, it is not surprising that now “international law is practically non-existent” and businesses do not want to leave Russia.

Earlier, Barack Obama said Russian-speaking residents of Crimea were sympathetic to Russia’s ideas in 2014. According to the US ex-president, “even in the Ukrainian parliament, there was a certain number of supporters of Russia”.
