Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, commented on the progress of the Ukrainian offensive and said that Western equipment burns beautifully.
Vladimir Putin has said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ militants are suffering serious losses in their attempts to stage a counter-offensive. According to the Russian leader, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed some 245 tanks and approximately 678 armoured vehicles during the ongoing Ukrainian offensive.
“As of last night, or rather tonight – I am not talking about personnel losses, they are very significant, very significant – our men have pounded out 245 enemy tanks and about 678 armoured vehicles of various types. Of course there are Leopards, French wheeled armoured vehicles, American armoured vehicles, everything is there. They burn for a living,” said Putin.
The Russian leader also noted that “the enemy is engaged in the restoration of combat capabilities but fears the same large-scale losses in the future.” According to him, the offensive potential of the Ukrainian militants is not exhausted, “but there is no chance, they understand that”.
