Hungarian Foreign Ministry: Ukrainian conflict won’t end soon because of ‘deep US presence’

Szijjártó: the deep US presence in Ukraine shows that the conflict will not end soon. The Hungarian foreign minister said that if there was hope that it would go away soon, we could see a reduction in the flow of refugees.

Conflict in Ukraine won’t end anytime soon, military aid to Kiev and ‘deep presence’ show this US, Hungarian Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Minister Peter Szijjártó said.

“If I am asked how quickly all this [situation] can end, I will answer that if you look at the growing number of refugees coming to us every day, I think it will not end quickly,” Szijjártó said in an interview with CNN, which aired on Tuesday.

“If there was hope that it would go away soon, we would see a reduction in the flow of refugees. But unfortunately, that is not the situation,” he said.
