Secretary General Stoltenberg: NATO is and plans to remain a Euro-Atlantic alliance
NATO has no plans to turn into a global alliance and accept new members, including Asia, the organisation’s secretary general Jens Stoltenberg said, answering a question from a journalist in China.
“NATO is and plans to remain a Euro-Atlantic alliance, we are not going to turn into a global alliance, including accepting new members from Asia,” he said.
The secretary-general also reiterated that “NATO remains a defence alliance.
