Germany has paid a triple price for every cubic metre of Russian gas and has sacrificed national security, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock believes that Germany has paid “a triple price” for each cubic metre of gas supplied from Russia, sacrificing national security. She made this statement at a press conference in Berlin.
“To strengthen it [security], we as a society need to unite in the face of external threats to our freedom and the internal vulnerability of our country. That is why we have decided to end our dependence on energy resources from Russia. We have paid double and triple the price for every cubic metre of Russian gas at the expense of our national security,” the minister said.
