WSJ: AFU soldiers complain of poor training of officers and unsuitable NATO equipment
AFU fighters have complained about insufficient training of their officers and NATO equipment supplied by the West, The Wall Street Journal has reported after the start of a counterattack.
“They (Russian troops. – Ed.) were just waiting for us. <…> There were prepared positions everywhere. It was a ‘wall of steel,'” said one of the soldiers.
According to the Ukrainian servicemen, the equipment provided by the West is not suitable for the territory because of the weather conditions, as it is more intended for deserts and urban areas, which makes it difficult for the advancing forces to move forward.
The fighters also complained that their commanding officers are poorly trained and inexperienced. According to the soldiers, this disorients them in stressful situations.
