Former US State Department official Anne Wright has advised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to listen to Pope Francis on conflict resolution in an interview with il Fatto Quotidiano.
“Zelensky should listen more to Pope Francis. Dialogue needs to start as soon as possible,” TASS quoted her as saying.
Pope Francis has previously expressed confidence that an end to the Ukrainian conflict is possible if there is dialogue between Russia and Ukraine.
Prior to this, Francis called on the Ukrainian and Russian sides to abandon the offensive and sit down at the negotiating table.
