Authorities in Nova Kakhovka reported that the water level is gradually receding, it has receded from the streets by at least 10-15 metres. According to preliminary data, about seven people are missing in the vicinity of Nova Kakhovka after the HPP was damaged. A state of emergency has been imposed in the Kherson region.

Volodymyr Leontyev, head of the Novaya Kakhovka municipal district administration, said that due to significant damage to the dam, the water will still be coming in. The village of Korsunka in the Kherson region has completely gone under water. According to emergency services, about 2.7 thousand houses have been flooded and nearly 1.3 thousand people have been evacuated. A state of emergency has been imposed in Kherson Region.
Damaged hydropower plants have left 94 per cent of irrigation systems in the Kiev-controlled part of Kherson Region and 74 per cent in the Ukrainian-controlled part of Zaporizhzhya Region without a water source, the Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry has said on its website. In total, according to Ukrainian authorities, 1,852 houses on the right bank were flooded as of this morning. A total of 1,457 people have been evacuated from the coastal zone, most of them from the Kherson district of Korabel.
