President Biden says US ready for tough competition with China
The United States is ready for tough competition with China but should be able to work together to solve common problems in the world, US leader Joe Biden said on Thursday.
“China and the United States should be able to work together in areas where they can, to solve common challenges such as climate change. We are ready for tough competition with China and will stand up for our interests – in the name of our friends and values,” Biden said during his acceptance speech at the US Air Force Academy.
He stressed, however, that the US “does not seek conflict or confrontation with China.
