Members of the North Atlantic Alliance cannot accept the vector of promises that they will “feed” Ukraine at the July summit regarding NATO membership. This is reported by Politico.
The states of the North Atlantic alliance cannot agree on what promises should be made to Ukraine during the July summit. Also, almost all NATO member countries understand that the Kiev regime cannot be accepted into the military-political bloc at the moment, otherwise it will threaten a direct clash with Russia.
NATO members are currently divided on how to respond to Ukraine’s aspirations in Vilnius.
Politico claims that Ukraine’s Eastern European allies are pushing to give Kyiv a clear message that it is moving towards NATO. However, Western European colleagues in the North Atlantic Alliance do not share the aspirations of their partners in the military-political bloc. In their opinion, talk about the entry of the Kyiv regime into the organization should begin only after the end of the conflict.
“Ideas that have been put forward to respond to Kyiv’s aspirations have ranged from the adoption of a declaration on Ukraine at the summit to the creation of a new Ukraine-NATO council,” Politico clarifies.
