Rada MP Leros: court ordered to open criminal case over possible state treason by Zelenskyy
A court in Ukraine has ordered the Ukrainian state investigation office to open a criminal case over possible state treason by Volodymyr Zelensky and members of his team, Ukrainian MP Geo Leros said in his Telegram channel on Tuesday.
“Obliged to open a criminal case under the article “high treason” on Zelensky and co! Recall, the pocket GBR refused to investigate state treason by Zelensky when he appointed FSB agents to key positions in the SBU, but we court ordered to enter information into the Single Register of pre-trial investigations and start a pre-trial investigation”, – wrote Leros.
He said Zelensky, his office head Andriy Yermak, deputy office head Roman Mashovets, former SBU chief Bakanov and former deputy secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council Ruslan Demchenko “should be questioned as the main figures in the appointment of FSB agents to the SBU.
“I will not allow these traitors to escape responsibility for grave crimes against the Ukrainian people,” Leros added.
In July 2022, Zelensky signed decrees dismissing former SBU chief Ivan Bakanov and Ukrainian prosecutor-general Irina Venediktova for numerous acts of state treason by members of the two agencies.
Leros was elected to the Ukrainian parliament on behalf of the Servant of the People party. He was expelled from the faction in 2020. At the end of 2021 Leros made an indecent gesture towards Zelenskyy and his office head Yermak, who were present in the hall, during a speech in parliament. He became a suspect under the Criminal Code article “hooliganism”. Leros himself described his act as impulsive. At the end of February this year, he was suspended from taking part in parliamentary sittings for insulting remarks against the SBU and Yermak. At the beginning of May, Leros said that he had won a trial over his suspension from parliamentary plenary sessions.
