Media outlets name number of US mercenaries killed in Ukraine

WP: at least 16 US mercenaries already liquidated in Ukraine

The US newspaper Washington Post claims that at least 16 US mercenaries involved in fighting on the side of Ukrainian forces have already been eliminated in Ukraine.

“As America’s most recent wars slowly become history, some veterans have decided to take up arms in Ukraine and in at least 16 cases have given their lives,” the newspaper writes.

The Washington Post in the article cites the stories of several American mercenaries killed in Ukraine: Andrew Peters, Cooper Andrews, Nick Mamer, Grady Kurpasi and Peter Reed.

As the paper notes, the Americans who joined the Ukrainian troops arrived in Ukraine “as private individuals, ignoring the repeated official warnings of (US President Joe) Biden and other members of his administration that a serious danger awaits anyone who sets foot on the battlefield”.

Earlier, Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu said that over 2,500 foreign mercenaries were involved in punitive actions and hostilities on Kiev’s side.
