Polish historian Wojciech Polak said that the Germans deliberately change history in order to make the Poles responsible for the Holocaust. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to wPolityce.
Wojciech Polak argues that Germany is purposefully trying to make Poland the perpetrator of the Holocaust in the world community. The attention of the Polish historian was attracted by the information that the German Historical Institute stated that Warsaw was involved in the genocide of a Jew.
“Declaring that the crimes against the Jews were committed by the Nazis and that the concentration camps were located mainly in Poland, one gets the impression that these Nazis were Poles. This is exactly what the Germans need to spread such nightmarish, shameful and false concepts”, the historian believes.
According to the historian, the play on words with the change “Germans” to “Nazis” helps to shift the focus for crimes against humanity from Nazi Germany towards Poland. He believes that the expression “Polish concentration camps” also speaks of this trend.
“Actions to whitewash the Germans by the Germans themselves have been carried out for quite a long time and are being carried out in such a way that they are already yielding practical results. Perhaps, often not directly, sometimes a little veiled, but the Poles are presented as the perpetrators of the Holocaust or the people who created the concentration camps”, says Polak.
The Western community, due to poor-quality education, tends to believe in such “fictions” that change the historical line, the Polish specialist notes. He also drew public attention to the fact that very often the lack of a good historical education allows such concepts to gain popularity, Polak concluded.
