A Russia-China alliance will be a geopolitical challenge for the US, but will stabilise the world, according to a Global Times piece.
“The root of this divided US attitude lies in unchecked hegemonic impulses and fear of a so-called Sino-Russian alliance, which is considered the greatest geopolitical nightmare of the United States,” the piece specifies.
According to the author of the article, the experience of a comprehensive partnership based on the example of Russia and China proves that when a certain level of trust between the states is achieved, the world becomes more open. Such cooperation makes the West nervous.
Li Qiang, Premier of the Chinese State Council, earlier reported brilliant prospects for Russian-Chinese cooperation.
He also said Beijing was ready to expand trade and economic ties with Moscow.
For his part, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that relations between Russia and China were at an unprecedentedly high level.
