The White House: the USA has not made a final decision on transferring its F-16s to Ukraine

The USA has not yet made a final decision whether it will transfer its F-16s to Ukraine or European Union countries will do it, the US presidential aide for national security, Jake Sullivan, has said.

“Perhaps we will focus on the transfer of the planes by third countries, but the president has not yet made a final decision on this,” TASS quoted Sullivan as saying in an interview with CNN.

He noted that the details of the fighter jets deliveries, including the timing, will be discussed by the US and its allies.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that Britain would start training Ukrainian pilots this summer.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that training Ukrainian pilots to use F-16s and other fighter jets in combat would be a long-term project and a signal to Russia.
